Can it really be October already? I do believe that as we get older time accelerates. We are starting to see hints of fall in Texas. Mind you, the daytime highs are still in the 80's and 90's but the nights are quite pleasant. Time once again to fling open windows and let in the fresh air. I have gotten a good bit done around the house this week. The library is taking shape with the bookshelves up and a new comfy chair. My quilt studio, while not in great shape is back in working order. We have an office space set up now for Ken to work comfortably at home. Our youngest son is almost moved back in so one of these days I should be able to get the camping gear out of the living room and back in the trailer (hint, hint, M if you are reading this...) This has been a week to live out being content in my circumstances and trusting God to provide-yes, the savings account has taken a hit, but I survived the breakdown of the air conditioner and made a lovely new friend in the repairman. New on the site this week: God Will Take Care of You- Philippians 4:18-20 Finale of Philippians study A hint at things to come in my quilt studio I have also continued to do some updating on the website. Hopefully everything is working as it should and is easy to navigate. I had fun choosing photos to add and thinking about how to improve things around here. Interesting finds around the web this week: Christians and Social Media- Kevin Halloran posts some very good questions for us to consider about how we use social media. Letting God Fill My Empty Places -Renee Swope at Proverbs 31 ministries hits the nail on the head with this one. The Happy Zombie has a tutorial for making the magic hourglass block- I love the photo she shared and I also love her tagline..."Unsupervised and armed with really, really sharp sewing needles." Gay over at Sentimental Stitches shared this great tutorial for making these pumpkin pincushions. And finally, the geek in me is very excited about this new series over at Christ and PopCulture. Happy Friday! Deb
