I have to tell you that this week has been an interesting one. A whopper of a snowstorm had us stuck in the house for a couple of days, the power went out for part of that time, classes at the university were cancelled so I got to enjoy unexpected time with the hubby at home. And then came Thanksgiving. I just had to be realistic and say that this week was not going to see any further work on my Little Bo Peep quilt. We do however have a winner to announce. Congratulations Carol A.!!! You have won that wonderful box of goodies from Apliquick! So whatever this week has found you facing I hope that you are safe and warm.
We will move on with Little Bo Peep next week and a brand new giveaway as well. We are having a white Thanksgiving. It remains to be seen whether we will be able to head out to join our friends for the big meal. It may end up being just my beloved husband and myself-but that is fine too. Among my many blessing from God is a man who is a joy to be with. One of my favorite things to do when it is snowing is capture photos of the birds in my backyard. And we had a LOT of them while it was snowing. The usual morning crew... One of the things I am thankful for this year is you. I started designing patterns almost two years ago and it has been an absolute joy to quilt along with you. So I wanted to take a moment today to tell you thank you for inviting me in to your quilting life.
I hope you have a blessed day.
Busy morning here in Southern Oregon. The snow has started to fall and the temps are below freezing. Mornings like this see me out thawing the water that I keep out for the birds as well as making sure feeders are full and the hummingbird feeders are not frozen. We have Anna's Hummingbirds through most of the winter. They show up at the feeders at the crack of dawn. Birds in the winter are such a bright spot and I enjoy sipping a cup of hot tea and enjoying them in my backyard.
I said I would have the rest of Week 2 ready for you today so here ya go...It is coming along nicely. I hope you are enjoying your time with this pattern too.
