I am challenging myself this year to spend at least ten minutes a day sewing. It has been a very doable approach, of course once I get started I often work longer. Tonight I am working on a quilt that is part of a class I am teaching. I started looking at ways to customize the layout we are using with applique. In the class we are doing this elephant-nice and big, and easy curves for learning how to do fusible machine applique. Inspired by my students I thought of a couple of other ideas to use with this quilt. having fun along the way... What is under your needle tonight?

I am working on the Hummingbird wall hanging by Darlene Zimmerman and having an awful time! I think I'm trying too hard. The corners don't nest and the middle looks puffy :( So.... I will cut our new pieces and try again! I love seeing all your projects. I feel like we are still connected and that makes me smile. Happy sewing, my friend. Comments are closed.
