What a fun day! It all started with packages from the postman on our porch. My oldest son and his sweet girl put together some scrapbook pages of our recent trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. Fun memories, they even included a chocolate bar! We all enjoy the perks of Samantha's job at a candy shop. The second package was filled with goodies from Karen Kay Buckley's store. That beautiful box has one of her latest products: Perfect Adjustable Square. I will let you know what I think when I get a chance to use it. Glue pens, thread and needles-what more could a girl ask for? My design wall was looking good today. I had to take a break from the wildflower quilt last week while I waited for an order of fusible to arrive, which it did, so I made progress there too. That gave me time to work a little on another BOM being offered at The Quilt Life: A-Z with Ewe and Me by Janet Stone Each letter has a block that begins with it: A is for Army Star; F is for Flying Geese; G is for Grandma's Choice. Working on the applique handle for the B block now. As for the wildflower quilt: all of the blocks are stitched together now. Added the inner border. I like that! I have this habit of not picking something easy when I am attempting to learn a new skill. This fusible web pattern has certainly been a challenge as some of the blocks flow over into other blocks and the border as you can see in this close-up. And now for the outside border. Oh, I added a tutorial today to share how I store my quilt fabric. You can find it on the tutorials page under Quilt Blog.
It has been a great day in the studio. How are you coming with your quilt projects?I have started a Flickr group at https://www.flickr.com/groups/debs_ufo_busters/ I would love to have you join the group and share photos of what you are working on. Let's all encourage one another to bust those UFO's! Taking life a stitch at a time, Deb Comments are closed.
