Some sure signs of Spring as we spotted these sweet little goslings out for a swim the other evening. We have been keeping pretty busy lately, both of us with work and also getting out to gather firewood for next winter. We keep telling ourselves it keeps us in shape, lol. It does mean I got a little behind on making blocks so I have been playing catch-up. These blocks are a fun look at how simply changing the arrangement of the units gives a totally different look. So I give you Day 47: Illinois. Once again I looked at the state flower for my color inspiration; the Violet. So I used a light green for my background fabric this time to go with my violet-which photographed much darker than it actually is. Day 48 is called Capital T. For this one I just went with a color that I had not used too much yet in the other blocks. Except for the very center square this block uses exactly the same number of HST's and Flying Geese as the Illinois block; just arranged differently. And to close out Week 7 of my stay at home time I chose Variable Star for Day 49. Again, I went for a color I have not used in any recent blocks and came across these two in my blues scrap bin. I love how quickly this one went together using the hourglass units. Click on the link below to visit my Passing the Days page for the pdf patterns.
Passing the Days I do hope you are continuing to do well. I have the feeling that many of us our getting rather tired of all of this stay at home business. I continue to look for something to bring me joy each day and am thankful for the blessings that have come my way in unexpected ways of late. I wish you joy and peace and Happy Quilting! 5/8/2020 07:58:23 pm
These are such great colors! Each pattern seems to get the perfect color it needs. I can't believe you're almost to 50! Your violets are so delicate and beautiful.

Thanks, Susan. Preparing these blocks is sure helping the days pass quickly. When I started I had no idea it would last this long. Hope you are doing well! Comments are closed.
