After the H block this one looks pretty straightforward. Pieces are all cut and laid out on my design board. Those little red blocks remind me of ladybugs. You may be able to guess by now what this block is going to be. I is for...Irish Chain. According to Barbara Brackman's history of this quilt block it seems to have originated in the United States in the early 1800's, so why it is called Irish Chain remains a mystery. The H and I unit is all done! 'Twas a good day in the studio.
