We thought fall had arrived here in Texas a couple of weeks ago-but then the 90-100 degree temperatures returned this week-OY!  Well I can still dream of fall as I look at all the beautiful quilts designed around this time of year.

McCalls Quilting is offering a couple of free patterns that caught my attention this week:

Harvest Traditions is a lap size quilt with fun, pieced border treatments.

Woolen Welcome is a bed size pattern, however if you make just one block it will finish into a nice wall quilt as well.  Included with the pattern is a tutorial on reverse applique.  I have yet to work with wool or try reverse applique but they are on my to do list so this might be a fun one to learn on.
