Happy Birthday to me! And you know what that means? I am going to spend the day in my quilt studio, not cleaning it, though it needs it badly, not dreaming over quilts that want to be, for I have made a pact with myself to finish some already in the works before the year is out, but working on a favorite quilt that has been sitting for too long waiting for me to make some time for it. Yes, it is one of my UFO's and it is ccalling for me to finish it. So my birthday present to myself is to spend time with my fabric and some new music. My thoughtful guys added some wonderful new albums to my classical music collection-hours of Beethoven and Rachmaninoff filling my ears as I delight in creating wildflower blocks. Pictures to come.... In the meantime I hope you enjoy these freebie finds. As always let me know if the links do not work.
But winter is coming, and if I want to decorate with new quilts this year I have got to get over summer. I love pretty much everything Kim Deihl does, and if you have not found her Facebook page you are missing out on her wonderful adventures in quilting laced with roll on the floor humor as she shares her days with us. I am planning a little UFO contest-still dreaming up the details in my head, but stay tuned. Taking life a stitch at a time, Debra Comments are closed.
