We had a lovely week of snow last week...12 inches here at the house. We ventured out for our January raptor survey and has a lovely time. Ken even added some features to this blob of snow that the snowplow left behind. I have been keeping up with my 30 Minutes of Freedom Challenge. Making progress on my Log Cabin Dreams blocks. Little by little I am seeing them grow. I am still finding that if I jump to this right away in the morning after taking care of some vital tasks I am just much more productive. I like how it gets my quilting juices going! Yesterday morning I had an update for a blog that I follow. Jenny of Elfantz. First off, I am so thankful to hear that rain is falling in Australia! Second, Jenny is starting a challenge for the year of a different sort-she is encouraging us to have a Homemaker's Heart. She is also sharing free patterns and recipes as well as some fun tips to brighten up our kitchens. You can visit her blog here to learn all about it: Jenny of Elefantz Designs For this week's assignment she has us looking at our tea towels. Honestly I do not give them much thought. But I took a look in my cabinet... A bit of a mess in there. I had purchased some pretty tea towels to use as gifts with a group of girlfriends this year. Last year I made them all a mini quilt and I needed something simple this year. Then we decided we would not exchange gifts at all this year, just cards. SOoooooo.... I sorted through my towels, purged the stained and holey ones and added the new pretty ones. Some of those towels were getting pretty thin from years of use. Some are still good enough to be used in the camper trailer. I am still considering repurposing some per Jenny's ideas on her blog too. That looks so much better now. And I worked on it whenever I was waiting for tea water to warm up which allowed me to stay productive in the studio too. Such a multitasker, lol. Now I need to get back to work-I have two newsletters to write, working on writing a pattern, adding sashing to my Just Desserts BOM blocks, quilting Little Bo Peep...I think I have enough to keep me busy for awhile. How is your 30 Minutes of Freedom Challenge progressing? Let me know in the comments. Have a blessed day!

That is so great to heaer, Raewyn! It is such a simple idea with a much bigger impact than I expected. I do love to multi-task! Comments are closed.
