What is a Mug Rug, you might ask? A Mug Rug is larger than a coaster and designed to hold a mug of your favorite beverage plus a small treat such as a cookie, candy, muffin, etc. They can be made pretty quickly, are a great way to practice your skills, and excellent gifts to give.


This pattern does have a few tiny pieces, but there are absolutely no seams to match so it really goes together very easily. This quilt is good practice for improving your strip piecing and you will learn to add a little lace embellishment as well as an optional touch of embroidery.
