I have been in secret mode lately in order to keep these two quilts a surprise. We had the baby shower last weekend for my niece who is expecting her first baby soon. The second quilt is for another grand nephew who was born a few months ago. It is such a joy for me to be able to share my love of quilting in this way. This weekend the tradition will continue as I join one of my nieces and her oldest daughter at the Dallas Quilt Show. I am excited about the variety of exhibits that will be a part of this show from Quilting During the War Years : a collection of WWl through WWll quilts to modern art quilts. Something for everybody. Now back to the baby quilts. I thoroughly enjoyed the way my design wall brightened up the studio while the baby quilts were there. I used a nifty new ruler to make the pinwheel blocks in this quilt. Later I plan to share a tutorial to introduce you to it. Now that those quilts are in their new homes it is time to start on another...boys seems to be in the air right now, so off to pick out some more fabric as my blue stash is looking rather thin.
Taking it a stitch at time... Deb Comments are closed.
