Any guesses what this block will be, it is a tricky one as the J this time is the name of a person not what you actually see, which could be confusing to my dear little niece. But it was a fun block to make non-the-less. First step this time around was to mark a sewing line on these four squares. I am so glad I found our about using a sandpaper board, especially on these smaller pieces-no slipping as you mark! The four little marked squares are ready to sew in place. Stitched, trimmed, and ready to press...ooh, this is fun. Does it look like anything yet? After a little more joining of pieces... Pretty pleased with how the pieces fit together. Now I have to move on the second part of this block, a little applique. I put up two photos so you could see what a difference having that extra light at my machine makes. Here we go, everything all sewn together. Let me introduce you to J is for Janet's Lamb. Baaa-utiful!
Hope you have found some time for a little quilting today too. Deb
