I am very happy to introduce you to my new Block of the Month program. While I am going to share the setting for this quilt, the blocks themselves will not be revealed until they are released-one each month for 13 months. Although I am letting you see the final block, which will be the center block of the quilt so you can get an idea of what is in store. The blocks will be free during the month that they are released, after that they will need to be purchased in my store. Be sure to sign up for updates so you never miss a block! There is a sign up option on the right specifically for We Can Build A Snowman Free BOM. Each month you will receive a link to directions for the latest block. I have put together a list of materials needed for this quilt which can be downloaded here. Introduction and Materials List  We will be working on some basic piecing skills, learning machine applique, and some basic embroidery stitches. Some of the blocks will have applique, some will only add hand embroidered details. Each block has been adapted from block patterns that also look great on their own.
I have set up this BOM so that your wonderful snowman quilt will be ready for you to enjoy or give as a gift by winter of next year. Be sure and join me on Facebook to share your work with me and be a part of a wonderful group of supportive and encouraging quilters. So spend the next three weeks gathering what you need and we will meet back here for Block #1 on June 4th.

Hi, Just wanted to let you know that when signing up, you asked if my email is HTML or Text. I have to tell you I have no idea. But on doing a search I decided the easiest answer is text. I hope this won't make a big difference in receiving your BOM info.

I remember seeing your snowmen blocks last Year and thinking I would love to do them so I am excited to participate in this BOM. I have been quilting over 25 years but I have learned quite a lot from your Blockhead tutorials so I am looking forward to this.

Thank you so much for facilitating the Snowman Quilt Along and making all the information available to us. I signed up and noticed which format to select, I chose html. As I was reading through the introductory and fabric requirements, I noticed the BOM was interchanged with BOW! How often will the blocks be available? I’m winding down from a project and want to plan my time. So excited! This will be my first Snowman winter quilt!
